John ‘JP’ Allard

Founder & Managing Director

Studied graphic design at Manchester Metropolitan University, then built a career in IT. By the mid-1990s he was already working on projects like Internet TV for doctors and the World’s first virtual health village. He then helped launch interactive health education services for InfoTech Inc. partnering with the Health Education Authority. In the noughties, he won and program managed many eCommerce projects with major banks, telcos, and national retailers. In 2010 he set up what is now The Video News Factory.

FUN FACT:
JP often goes off to the woods to enjoy Field Archery.

David Crabb

Chairman 

David studied science at Thames University and went on to build several managed services companies up to successful exit strategies. He joined TVNF in 2020 and provides vital coaching and strategic advice with over 25 years of experience as a CEO and non-executive Director to IT and service-based companies. He is also the author of The Magic Formula and The Slippery Slope No-way back, both published on Amazon.

FUN FACT: David was actually a customer of TVNF way back in 2013 when JP was in the very early stages of start-up.

Amb. Yves Philbert

Director of Events

Ambassador Yvette Philbert is the UK Country Director for WHOPE (Women Helping Other People Everywhere). She will be in charge of event coordination here at TVNF.

FUN FACT: Yves is recognised as one of the 100 Black Women to have made a mark across various sectors. 

Vishakha Patel

Director of Communications and Planning

Vishakha is a biomedical science graduate from De Montfort University. Early on in her career she decided to leave the confines of the laboratory and developed a new passion for helping local charities with social media. She discovered the joy of helping businesses grow through creative work. She has now built an enviable track record of creating video-rich content for lead-generation campaigns in markets like healthcare, pharmacy, technology, and security.

FUN FACT:
In her spare time, she runs her own henna business for weddings, festivals, and parties.

Kata Szaniszlo

Video Editor, Animator and Graphic Artist

Kata would describe herself as the ‘one usually behind the camera.’ Although her work never goes unnoticed. With a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Graphic Design, Kata specialises in custom animation and is a valuable member of TVNF creative video production process.

FUN FACT:
Despite her quiet demeanor, she starred as a witch in a scene for a Macbeth feature movie. Although she only wanted to be a runner and an assistant.

Jack Smith

Creative Media Consultant

Jack studied media production at the University of Lincoln and has starred in a handful of amateur short film projects, as a head editor or as the man behind the camera! Jack has an extensive background in short-form editing for social media and knowledge of motion design.

FUN FACT:
Jack once hosted a talk show on the radio and occasionally lent his voice to online animation projects!

Alex Sargent

Lead Creative Media Consultant

Alex studied Digital Film Production at Greenwich University and has built a career in film, TV, and multimedia—his true passion. An avid traveller and amateur historian, he enjoys exploring ancient wonders, learning about cultures, and visiting iconic filming locations that combine his love for film and travel.

FUN FACT:

Alex plays guitar and has experience working on creative projects with professional musicians from the 1950s to the 1990s.

Cat King

Presenter & Director for TVNF Property Productions

Cat King joined TVNF to help script, direct and produce property & construction videos. As well as being a TV Presenter for BBC, Bloomberg TV, and Sky. She has also presented with the lovely Phil Spencer for a company called MOVE IQ. Cat has worked with Garrington Property Search and presented the Monthly Market review. She also manages the production of marketing videos for Bovingdon Estate Agents and Fine & Country Beaconsfield helping them sell their uber properties. 

FUN FACT:
Cat is a much sought-after relocation property agent finding houses for the rich and famous in London and the Home Counties!

Adam Dokhan

Associate Director YouTube & Creative Projects

Adam studied at the University of Lincoln Media Production BA graduate and with the Nation Youth Film Academy. Experienced in acting, scriptwriting, screenplay creating, producing and directing short films and medium-length web-series show, live-action and animation as well as projects involving large crews, TV Advertising, and advanced visual effects.

FUN FACT:
Adam has become a much sought-after DoP in the world of YouTube golfing videos.

Yolanda Hamblen a.k.a 'YoYo'

Associate Director for Podcasting & Security Markets

YoYo, is a much sought-after podcaster, host and producer of content for security companies around the world, as well as providing fractional CISO consultancy for global businesses. YoYo has achieved international acclaim for her Security Circle Podcasts created for IFPO to find more ways of connecting business giants of front line Security. She sits on the Advisory Board on IFPO chairs the ED&I subcommittee, with full participation in the Mental Health and Wellbeing group and is on the ASIS International Physical Steering Committee. YoYo is passionate about promoting the voices of LGBTQ+, women and other marginalised groups.

FUN FACT:
YoYo is a former Police Detective.

Nesanath Fernando

Senior Videographer

Nesanath originally studied engineering and made videos as a hobby, but found himself with so many requests from friends to create videos that he chose to give up engineering and gradually built his career in music videos. He has recently completed his MSc in Videography.

FUN FACT:
In 2020, he won one of the most prestigious filmmaking competitions for Asian short video and music videos, but missed out on flying out to Norway to mix it with the glitterati and top movie moguls due to lockdown.

Cory Popovici

Associate Director of Cinematography & Special Effects

Cory has an international background, having originated from Moldova, then worked in the Italian TV industry, before moving to the UK and joining TVNF in 2017.
He has been responsible for driving many of the standards for advanced video production at TVNF and has an amazing range of technical skills outside filming, such as 3D animation and advanced live streaming production.

FUN FACT:
Cory's real name is Corneliu he is often referred to as 'The Professor'.
