Miss England's Grand Final 2021 livestreamed by TVNF
On a cold winters night on February 13th 2021, we supported Miss All African Colours and officially linked the beauty competition to Miss England and Miss World. This was dedicated to celebrating England’s African and Caribbean community and promoting more diversity.
We successfully ran a complex three-hour-long Livestream hosted in our Milton Keynes studio with safe distancing.
This connected with over twenty competitors and captured the very moment when winner Rehema Muthamia, age twenty-five, a Bedford based Health Technology consultant.
Little did they know what this would lead to!
Rehema is the first Miss All African Colours Queen to win the coveted title of Miss England. The Video News Factory was there to capture the moment and live-streamed the entire five hours of what was a truly spectacular and glorious event.
It marked the return of the Miss England Grand Final live event which has faced the same enormous challenges as the rest of the UK’s events industry throughout the pandemic.
John Allard, Managing Director of TVNF said it was one of our proudest moments. In a time where so many have struggled against racism, it was vital to support Miss England and Miss All African Colours.
Both events promoted diversity and the precious value of people like Rehema and former Miss England winner and NHS Doctor Bhasha Mukherjee, who has been directly involved in the NHS frontline protecting and saving lives throughout the pandemic.
